D180: Shoot Wide

In Uncategorized on July 1, 2010 by Eric Kunimura

The Daily Shoot assignment for 2010/07/01: Construction seems to be perpetual: streets, sidewalks, buildings. Make a photo of something under construction today.

I had to break from my plan of shooting only one single image per day this week…

I had some fun with today’s image. This image is made up of six separate images shot vertically (portrait) and stitched together in Photoshop. I was very close to the building at 17mm focal length. This process creates an illusion of being shot with an ultra wide lens which is the effect I was going for. The shape of this particular building situated on a street corner help exaggerate to the distorted appearance.

  1. Nice work Eric.
I like the way it turned out – the curve in the foreground road makes this shot interesting.
