D176:Artichoke

In Uncategorized on June 26, 2010 by Eric Kunimura

A single shot today. Poor choice in aperture. Didn’t take the time to think it through…live and learn.

Read: The House of Flying Flash – Joe McNally, American Photo, June 2010. This was a great article on how even JorMcNally uses only a few Nikon SB900’s, a Lumiquest Softbox III, and Lasolite Trigrip reflector to achieve some fantastic images in the streets of China. All gear that an aspiring pro can afford. No need for high-end speedlights…

Viewed: Various magazine covers on the news stand from cars, to glamor, to travel. A fun way to learn is to look at magazine covers and try to figure out how the image was capture.

  1. Or live and blunder, as I like to say. At least you got a shot.

  2. I’ve never seen the flower of an artichoke so I think it’s interesting. I’ve read a couple of McNally’s books. He’s a light genious.
