D159: Interpretive

In Uncategorized on June 9, 2010 by Eric Kunimura

Something completely different today…

Is this still photography? It’s an image that looks more like it was created in Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator but it’s actually a photograph. I guess photography doesn’t always have to be about documenting reality in a creative way. I doesn’t always have to be tack sharp. Intentionally out of focus can, and does work from time to time like this image I shot to represent diversity.

  1. Is that oil in water with reflection? I tried something like that the day before – but didn’t like the way it turned out 😉

Love the colors and your tight composition.

  2. Very interesting, but as usual I am interested in what you write almost as much as the images. How does this translate to diversity?

  3. the whole effect of the image is very subtle but effective. there is just enough definition and interest with the diagonal line and the dots across it. Thanks for highlighting some great reading material too.
